Mr. and Mrs. K were experiencing issues with their older water softener and it wasn't providing them the water quality they truly wanted. After giving us a call, we sent a Project Coordinator out to assess the situation and see what treatment options were a good fit for the family. After testing, it was found that they had higher levels of iron and hardness in their water. They were able to pick from a filter/softener combination or an all-in-one option under the EV2, and the EV2 seemed to be the best fit. Now, with one piece of equipment, they are able to remove the high levels of iron and soften the water with new technology that provides them numerous benefits.
The customer was referred to the Clean Water Center by a family member who is a current customer. The had an older softener, and started finding staining in their bathrooms and toilets.
A Project Coordinator went out to their house to assess the water and go over solutions. After testing the water, they found 2 ppm of iron in the water, which was the culprit of the staining they were having in the house. They discussed how the homeowners were planning on doing some renovations and adding a fancy shower with multiple shower heads in the near future. A larger softener was suggested because of the renovations, as well as an Iron Filter to help them with the staining.
The customer decided to have us install and EVRS-1054 Water Softener, as well as an EVFE-1054 Iron filter.
Customer called Clean Water Center with concerns of red/orange staining and very hard water. They had a water softener already but knew it must not be working correctly and did not know what the best course of action was.
A project Coordinator went out to the home, tested the water and made a full assessment of the situation. They found 6.5 ppm of iron and 32 gpg of hardness. They also knew they did not like the taste of softened water but wanted to protect all the fixtures inside the home. After deciding that the existing softener was not worth the hassle and not adequate for the amount of iron in the water, the customer decided to have us install a iron filter, and a new, smarter softener. They also decided to have us install a point-of-use reverse osmosis system for better tasting, cleaner water for drinking and cooking.
The customer called the Clean Water Center from a referral from a friend who had worked with us in the past. Her water softener was over 20 years old. For years she had been noticing orange stains in her bathroom, and she was sick of cleaning it. She called us to see what type of new equipment there may be.
A Project Coordinator met her at her home, and discussed the issues that she was having. They tested the water from the pressure tank, and found only 1ppm of iron in the water, but the iron was ferric iron, which a softener cannot remove. They tested the water after the equipment and found that there was still .5 ppm of iron leaking through after the softener, because of it being ferric iron.
The customer opted to have us install an EVFE-1054 iron Filter, followed by a brand new EVR-1044 water softener. She decided to go on the maintenance plan, so that we could help with the maintenance, and offer the lifetime warranty on the equipment.
She is enjoying cleaner water, and no longer needs to scrub orange stains from the bath tub.
